Deadlines regarding the maximum permitted duration of studies
These deadlines are listed in myStudies under "Deadline":
For example, the final deadline for the Master’s degree is Autumn Semester 2023.
This means the concerning semester including the following semester break and examination session.
Details and deadline for submitting a request for an extension

NOTE

If the programme deadline is Spring Semester 2024 (FS 2024):
Deadline A: If it is already apparent before or during Spring Semester 2024 that the number of credits required for the degree request can no longer be acquired, the request must be submitted no later than Monday, 3 June 2024.
Deadline B: If it is projected that all credits still pending towards the degree request can be accrued during Spring Semester 2024, no pre-emptive request should be submitted.
If, however, it becomes clear after grades have been issued that the student has failed individual performance assessments, and can potentially only acquire the pending credits by repeating the performance assessments, the request must be submitted no later than Monday, 16 September 2024.
If the programme deadline is Autumn Semester 2024 (HS 2024):
Deadline A: If it is already apparent before or during Autumn Semester 2024 that the number of credits required for the degree request can no longer be acquired, the request must be submitted no later than Monday, 2 December 2024.
Deadline B: If it is projected that all credits still pending towards the degree request can be accrued during Autumn Semester 2024, no pre-emptive request should be submitted.
If, however, it becomes clear after grades have been issued that the student has failed individual performance assessments, and can potentially only acquire the pending credits by repeating the performance assessments, the request must be submitted no later than Monday, 24 February 2025.
If the programme deadline is Spring Semester 2025 (FS 2025):
Deadline A: If it is already apparent before or during Spring Semester 2025 that the number of credits required for the degree request can no longer be acquired, the request must be submitted no later than Monday, 2 June 2025.
Deadline B: If it is projected that all credits still pending towards the degree request can be accrued during Spring Semester 2025, no pre-emptive request should be submitted.
If, however, it becomes clear after grades have been issued that the student has failed individual performance assessments, and can potentially only acquire the pending credits by repeating the performance assessments, the request must be submitted no later than Monday, 15 September 2025.
